Word Demonstration- learned how to make worksheets and use some of the tools not used before.

PowerPoint: Do not have more than 20 words per slide.
Three sample presentations
1. Train analogy
2. Fine motor/cause and effect smiley face
- the smiley power point only has 5 slides and no words. The slides loop and are interactive/
3. Teaching about temperature

Large font is easy to read from a distance/ dark background and large white letters easy to read. Remember this when you make your PowerPoint later.


How can you use this (technology) as a tool to help your students succeed?
If your students are having a hard time keeping up now, think of how hard it will be in the future.

80% of special needs people are unemployed.

It is important to teach students how to access, process, communicate and synthesize information.

All people under 25 years old are digital natives. Younger people have different neural development because of the influence of technology. Their brains and the ways that they access information have changed.

Showcase what your students can do as opposed to what they cannot

Demonstration of a student reading story they read through pictures. This was done through a template of PowerPoint. Very similar to the "Leading from Behind" idea in Deaf education.
Student digital report: science project where student need to research habitat, country, food, etc.

You can put video and music in PowerPoint. You can do a video podcast.
